Ten rules to ensure you get the most from an exhibition

  1. Site – make sure your stand is on a footfall crossroads
  2. Dress your stand – to attract the public
    Maximum 2 clear messages on main display
    Messages to be benefits not features
    Separate displays for secondary messages
  3. Look professional
    Wear a name badge and if relevant corporate clothing
  4. Be remembered
    Use giveaways (pens, key rings etc) with your branding
  5. Collateral
    Professional / Branded / Available
  6. PR
    Liaise with organisers to get your information out to the public
  7. Free Tickets
    Send tickets to previous attendees (enquiries on your database)
  8. Separate serious enquiries from ‘information gatherers’ and give them fuller information packs
  9. Follow-up all serious enquiries within a week of the exhibition
  10. Check List
    Prepare a check list in advance – and use it!
