As the managing director of Europe's leading supplier of corporate gifts and promotional incentives I often get asked, "What is the best way to promote my business?"

So here are some of my top tips!

Sustainable business growth only comes to those companies who continuously and consitently promote their products, their services and their brand.

Promoiting your brandPromoting your business is about generating exposure, creating awareness and building brand value - it's about constantly reinforcing your message to customers such that your company, your brand are at the forefront of their mind.

As an aside, it's useful that there have been numerous case studies detailing the effect on companies/brands when they stop promoting - generally to save money.

The outcome?

Short term gain through cost savings but long term damage to sales and brand awareness which takes in some cases months and in others years to recover from.

Companies who seek to be in business for long term and are looking for steady and continual growth, must invest in a long term promotional strategy.

Promoting your business generates exposure, creates awareness and builds brand value and thereby lays the foundations for sustainable business growth.

Ensure your messages are short, sharp, simple and memorable; think outside the box and be specific to your customers; use 'information' honestly but regularly and be proud to celebrate.

Finally, think about the right promotional tool to get your message across. Be prepared to be personal and ensure the product is useable and/or memorable.
