British drama Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy has come in from the cold after being snubbed by award schemes across the Atlantic, to receive a whole host of nominations for this year's Baftas.
The Cold War thriller by director Tomas Alfredson is nominated for 11 awards in the face of getting blanked by this week's Golden Globes in Hollywood.
The movie has earned a best director nomination for Tomas Alfredson, as well as being in with the chance of winning best film, and outstanding British film.
And lead star of the film Gary Oldman has received the nod for best actor for his role as MI6 espionage veteran George Smiley.
Top of the nominations list however is silent movie drama The Artist – a French film set in the 1920s which has taken the awards season by storm – up for 12 awards at this years Baftas.
