Two of Britain's most famous musical siblings could have another bone of contention to argue about, as the Gallagher brothers received nominations for
trophies at the annual NME award scheme this week.
Noel and Liam Gallagher have been nominated for the music industry's Hero and Villain of the Year respectively, but it's younger brother Liam who's been drawn the short straw.
Liam's band Beady Eye got the nod for a place in the Worst Band category, while older brother Noel got nominated for an impressive collection of trophies – with the former Oasis songwriter getting nominated for Best Solo Artist, Best Album and Greatest Musical Moment awards.
The
plaques will be handed out this year at the O2 Academy in Brixton, south London, on Wednesday the 29th of February.
