Residents in Scotland are being encouraged to nominate teachers for
staff awards so that they can get the recognition they deserve.
Both parents and pupils can put forward the names of educators and entire schools that they feel are deserving of a prize at this year's Scottish Education Awards, which are taking place at Glasgow's Hilton Hotel on 12th June.
Richard Stroud is the chairman of Aberdeenshire Council's education committee and he encourages "pupils and parents to nominate those who provide education and support to children… and who make such a difference to their lives".
These staff awards are open to any teachers, head teachers and support staff, whether they work in secondary, primary, nursery or special schools.
If you want to vote for a teacher, make sure you nominate them by Friday 2nd March.
